About
Performance Voice Solutions is the vocal rehabilitation division of Northside ENT. We’re located on the north side of Indianapolis, in Carmel, Indiana. We offer the unique opportunity for the otolaryngologist and voice specialist to co-evaluate patients for optimal health care. If you require your voice to make a living in your profession (teachers, singers, ministers, call center personnel, lawyer, health care worker, for example), then you are considered a professional voice user. If you don’t then you are considered a non-professional voice user. Voice therapy is perhaps best described as physical therapy for the voice, strengthening and rebalancing the production of the voice to regain an individual’s best vocal quality.
We have four otolaryngologists, all of whom treat voice disorders (follow this link for the Northside ENT website), and one speech pathologist/voice specialist (follow this link for picture and bio). As a clinical team, we continue to grow and excel in meeting the needs of our patients. One of the strengths our clinic offers is the close communication we have with each other about our patients. We are all strong patient advocates and desire the best outcomes for each individual. This means you won’t have to go to two different locations for your ENT visit and your voice therapy visit. This also means that your concerns about your voice don’t get lost in a paperwork shuffle or a game of phone-tag. Most importantly, as a team, we have a track record of excellent results.
But what if your preferred otolaryngologist isn’t part of this practice? Not a problem – we accept referrals from external physicians all the time, with approximately 50% of our patients coming from other practices. We often team up with specialists in the areas of pulmonology, allergy, general surgery, gastroenterology, internal medicine, neurology and psychology, and freely make referrals to the best specialists when a voice problem may include other disciplines, like those listed above.
We work very hard to be transparent in all we do with our patients. We make sure your physician knows what we’re doing and how our patients are progressing. For performers, we also work with several voice teachers and coaches in the community to help you go to the next step in your pursuit of your best voice. It’s all part of getting your voice back.
